sorry the browser gave me an error. (above)

Which is exactly why I must disagree with your decision to cut funding. This is why enough funding is needed. One should not take away from one group and give to another. What's wrong is the government, and rich, not the lowly and poverty stricken. The top one percent of all the wealth is held by very few people, which sadly don't exactly like to just give their money away. The government does not help the problem either. By giving tax cuts to to the rich, more money is just being funneled into the pockets of the already well endowed. But..back to point, immigrants are the heart and soul of this country, without them our country would not be what it is today. At some point in time, everyone was an immigrant, save the native americans. One just has to ask themself, what would I do, it were me on the other side of the fence?

I understand how you believe that immigrants both legal and illegal can be a drain on the already strained American budget, but one can argue that although they arent not citizens, are they not people? Although you make some good points, ask yourself this question: When did the "American Dream" have no meaning. Is that not why immigrants come to this country? Its a place where the common man can start anew, and truly live out their dreams. Most illegal immigrants are given the lowliest jobs, and must work harder than the average "bona fide US citizen". Are they not contributing something? Most Americans find these jobs demeaning, but who else will do it? You say crack down on asylum, and only allow people that have undergone hardship, but how can one define hardship. I do agree with the fact that immigrants should complete citizenship requirements, but you have to understand that these people often work as many hours as they can because of the low wages. Taking time out from the work schedule, can mean the difference between their family's having enough food, and proper housing, or being homeless.
